Shredded Cabbage with Coconut

The cabbage needs to be cut similar to coleslaw.  The best variety of cabbage for this dish is Cannonball cabbage, which is readily available.

INGREDIENTS

1/2 a cabbage
2 sprigs curry leaves
1 onion
2 fresh chillies
1 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp blak pepper
1 cup desiccated coconut

METHOD

  1. Shred and wash cabbage
  2. Slice onion and chilli
  3. Heat oil and fry curry leaves for a few seconds
  4. Add cabbage, onion and chillito pan.
  5. Stir fry for a few seconds.
  6. Now add coconut, turmeric and pepper.
  7. Stir fry for a further 4-5 mins.
